Christmas
in July
July 11th- 13th
Celebrate Christmas at Revelles Campground with a site decorating
contest, holiday themed crafts, tree decorating, and a gift exchange.
You furnish the gifts and Santa will pass them out! (Please keep
gifts under $5.00)
Flashback
to the 50’s and 60’s
July 18th –July 20th
Get in your attics and dig out your clothes from the 50’s
and 60’s for our annual dance. All ages are welcome, our
ole’ timers will show these youngsters how dancing is really
done! Snacks and drinks will be provided, but all are welcome
to bring some warm appetizers.
Cook-Off
Contest
July 25th – 27th
Join us for our cook-off contest this weekend. There will be four
different divisions: meat, vegetable, dessert, and drinks. All
ages are welcome to enter! In the past the kids have produced
some winners! $$$ prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
Wild
West Week
August 1st – 3rd
Get ready for our stick horse rodeo and the water gun shoot-out
in the center field of the campground. We will have one heck of
a hayride when you load up your guns while you prepare to be ambushed
by our stick rodeo guys. Bring your biggest water guns, your gonna
get wet!
Go
to the Market
August 8th – 10th
Come and join us for an entire day Market Basket Class taught
by Elaine Sinclair from Salem, WV. Ages 8 and above are welcome,
and there is a $35.00 fee due by 08/04/08.
The dimensions are (12L X 8W X 7H) with a handle, and there are
two choices of walnut or oak stain. Bring a bag lunch and prepare
to make a day of it…
Day
at the Beach
August 15th-17th
Grab your beach towel, flip flops, and food for our Beach Party
at the volleyball court. This is a covered dish event, and Poor
Richard will be playing Beach Boy music so we can dance the night
away.
Back
to School
August 22nd – 24th
Most of our young campers are gearing up for school to start,
so we will be doing a scrap booking project about one of our most
memorable summer events. All ages are invited, just bring 5 to
10 memorable photo’s and let us help you create a page for
your scrapbook.
Labor
Day Weekend
August 29th-September1st
The end of the summer is near, relax and enjoy this Labor Day
weekend with your friends and staff at Revelles. We have lots
of activities, tournaments, Longaberger Bingo, Boot Scoot and
Boogie Dance, ole fashion bingo, and a professional firework production
by the “Little Big Shots”. Three night minimum stay.
Hairy
Scary Weekend
September 5th -7th
Try some events that are guaranteed to make the hair on your neck
stand up. Fish eating, pickle juice chugging, and green slime
relays. Oh, just wait for the barefoot sack race filled with creepy-crawlies…
Chili
Cook-Off
September 12th -14th
Turn on your slow cookers and get ready for our chili cook-off.
There is a $5.00 entry fee which will be given back to the 1st,
2nd, and 3rd place winners. Revelle’s will provide the drinks.
You will not want to miss this yummy event!
Chocolate
Lovers Weekend
September 19th – 21st
Yum! This is the weekend for all the chocolate lovers. Our crafts
will be centered on chocolate; we will have a chocolate pudding
relay, chocolate pudding eating contest, and a chocolate sundae
social.
Down
on the Prairie
September 26th – 28th
Show your pride and help us make American themed crafts, have
your hair beaded in red, white and blue, and share in an ole’
fashioned barbeque. Bring your meat and we will have a variety
of marinades for you to pick from. We will provide the side dishes
and drinks.
Forest
Festival
October 3rd – 5th
Enjoy the Forest Festival in downtown Elkins this weekend. There
is much to see and do including: wood chopping event, carnival,
games, food, parade, and lots of crafters. Sunday morning will
be our annual permanent/seasonal breakfast meeting starting at
9:30 A.M. at the pavilion.
Pumpkin
Patch Weekend
October 10th – 12th
This is a non-scary Halloween weekend. We will be having a pumpkin
carving contest, Halloween craft activities, and a glow stick
hunt for candy at night. All fun and friendly!
Bring a pumpkin to carve.
Halloween
Weekend I
October 17th – 19th
Join in a site decorating contest while you try to win a night
of free camping when you visit next year. Also, be sure to bring
your costumes and get ready to trick-or-treat through the park
just before dark. Oh, I forgot to mention to look over your shoulder
because you never know what could be lurking behind one of our
trees as you trick-or- treat.
Halloween
Weekend II
October 24th – 26th
Don’t miss our last event of the year because it is truly
a good one. This is our annual Halloween Theme Party. Dress up,
bring a covered dish, and join us for children’s crafts,
food, dance and a great time! We will also be having an end of
year sale in our camp store.
Pajama
Party Weekend
October 31st – November 2nd
This is our last weekend of the season! It has been a fun filled
camping season, but it is now time to put our campground down
to bed. After this weekend we will have limited sites with water
and power, along with a limited selection of cabin rentals. Anyone
that shops in our store in their pajamas will get a deep discount
on assorted gifts and items.
